Hello beauties,
I must first apologize for having gone MIA for the past few weeks. I have been so busy with exams and final preps for the Soweto half marathon. Time was just not on my side and any spare time I had, I used to catch up on much-needed relaxation and sleep.
Today, I wanted to share with you a simple four-ingredient smoothie that got me through the busy mornings of studying and writing exams. As you can imagine, I was sometimes not able to do my usual fruit and vegetable shopping. So I would have to rely on some staple ingredients that I always have in my house to ensure that I still start my busy mornings with a nutrient packed breakfast, which is simple and very quick to make.
I cannot even begin to tell you how delicious this smoothie is, it honestly tastes like you having dessert for breakfast. You don’t actually taste the greens, so don’t knock it till you have tried it.
Creamy Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
1 banana, chopped
1 cup baby spinach, press in as much as you can
¼ cup or more coconut water
Instructions:
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth.Enjoy!
Extra notes:
Coconut water is actually something I don’t like to drink. I cannot stand the taste and just don’t know how people are able to drink it on its own. However, I have read about all its great benefits and so I try to sneak a little in my smoothies so I don’t have to deal with the taste. The trick though is to never put too much, because then it will alter the taste of your smoothie.
What is your go-to breakfast when you going through a busy period in your life? Leave me a comment below.
Thanks for reading,Kisses

I also make smoothies when I’m too busy to make propes food. Today I made a banana and pineapple smoothie but used plain yoghurt.
And it was delicious.
I’ll try this one tomorrow 😉

I cant wait for you to make me one when I come through soon!
In with you on the “cant stand coconut water” vibe! i just cant drink that stuff, but strangely I enjoy the water when it comes straight and direct from the cocnut- not this stuff you find at that stores. LOL that hyprocritical of me?
That looks like a great smoothie!
Thanking you in advance for making one for me! ❤ 😀

Another friend told me the same thing, they prefer the water straight from the coconut. I’m yet to try it out. Don’t worry babe Ill have a big jar of this smoothie waiting for you when you get here. Kisses

Can I make them and put them in the refrigerator or freshly made every morning?

Its best to have this one made fresh, the green smoothie (recipe on the blog) can last in the fridge and also freezes well.

I am quite new to the smoothie trend and have just received my first proper smoothie maker from my gran. Lucky me! So it’s been an interesting few weeks of learning about different flavour combinations and new ingredients. This recipe sounds so simple and I am definitely going to give it a try tomorrow morning. Thanks Dee! Xxx
