Since its holiday time and most of us are traveling or planning to go away for a few days, I thought it would be fun to answer this short travel Q&A, inspired by an article I read in the latest Elle magazine.

Langebaan, Western Cape.

Planes, trains or automobiles?

When I’m overseas I much prefer the train. Locally, road trips are my favorite – and then I pack as much as I want.

Are you a last-minute packer or do you plan ahead?

I don’t like to do anything last minute! So I always try planning ahead, when possible.

Do you travel light or heavy?

I wish I could learn to travel light, between the books, running shoes and cosmetics, my bags are always heavy!

Your favorite outfit to travel in?

Leggings, comfy T-shirt and sneakers.

Favorite beauty product for a long trip?

Bio oil without a doubt, although I must say, I will also never leave the house without sunblock.

The first thing you do when you arrive at your destination?

Shower.

Secret to a perfect holiday?

Great book, pleasant weather and good company.

If we travelled with you, what would we see you doing on the plane?

On a long flight, I will most likely be reading, or watching a movie, or trying to sleep (I battle to sleep on the plane).
